Abdel Aziz Nadji was held in Guantanamo for 8 years without charge or trial. He was sent back to Algeria against his will where he tried to rebuild his life. However, he was suddenly rearrested and jailed.

Detention is often a time of great distress, taking the person imprisoned away from his family and friends and immersing him in an unknown environment.
In such a situation, a simple letter can be sufficient to lift the spirit of those detainees and ease the hardship through which they are going.
Former Guantanamo prisoner, Feroz Abbasi said: "The odd letter from a person I didn't know in the outside world gave me a lot of strength, particularly because I felt we had been abandoned by the world - especially the Muslim world."

The whole family is being punished for Munir Farooqi’s recent conviction. His son harris Farooqi was acquitted in the same trial and lives in the family house. Whatever Munir farooqi’s offences, is it fair that an innocent family should pay for it?

Please take action for Djamel Beghal who was convicted due to statements taken under the duress of torture. Cageprisoners wants you to help push the French government into establishing an inquiry which will re-examine his case.
