On the 22nd July 2010 Cageprisoners wrote an electronic communication to the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concerning Samer Hilmi.

Cageprisoners expressed its concern and sought to ascertain Samer Hilmi's location and condition, treatment, the reasons for his detention and that he be provided consular, legal and humanitarian access; his legal rights of due process and that he is returned to Jordan -- as a Jordanian citizen -- rather than Palestine, among other things of importance.

Mr Netanyahu's office responded on the 10th August 2010, "We acknowledge receipt of your e-mail to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Due to the large volume of e-mail received, we cannot respond personally to each message."

Please continue to put pressure on the Israeli government to grant Samer Hilmi his rights here and send us Mr Netanyahu's responses.
